For the past 30 years it has been our pleasure to serve our many school districts, music teachers, parents and students for their musical needs.  After graduating from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and teaching in the public school system for 15 years, I realized the importance of having good service from a reliable music company.  When we started our music company in 1977, Lynne and I both knew that providing the best service to our schools was of the utmost importance.

Our goal has been to provide the best service and support for all our customers. In order to succeed with that important goal, we knew we had to have a walk-in music store, a full-time in-house repair department, and provide “on the road” service to our schools, our music teachers and students every week.

We do not hire sales persons to visit our schools.  Lynne and I, owners of Cliff Girard music, provide service for our school music departments each week.  We knew that if the owners of the company (no go-betweens) personally called on our school music teachers, problems could be solved quickly and efficiently, orders could be processed quickly and repairs could be taken back to our repair shop to be worked on immediately.  In the meantime, if Lynne and I are on the road, our competent staff is holding down the home front.

Barbara De Simone, our secretary and bookkeeper are standing by the phone to help you in every way.  It is most refreshing to talk to a pleasant and caring person answering the phone to help you with your musical needs.

Jason Smeltzer, a graduate of Marywood University, does all of our brass and string repairs.  He is one of the best in the business.  He also helps Barb at the computer and mans the phones.

Lynne Girard received an associate degree in foreign languages.  She became interested in instrument repair and started out rebuilding pianos.  She worked for Mobile Music, a New Jersey music company, repairing woodwinds.  Not many people can properly repair and overhaul woodwind instruments.  Lynne Girard has been at it for more than 30 years.  Experience and expertise is her forte.  She also mans the phones and fills most of our orders.

It is always a great thrill for Lynne, Barb, Jason and me to go through our files and read some of the letters sent to us from our customers.  The following are some of those letters and notes.

Lynne and I and our super staff will continue to make sure we provide excellent service to our schools, students, musicians and the public in our communities.  Thanks for your support all these years.
